Men's Cross Country Finishes a Mere Seven Points Out of First, Takes 3rd at NEC ChampionshipPublished by
The Quinnipiac men's cross country team nearly came away with their first Northeast Conference Championship since 2008 on Saturday, finishing 3rd in the pressure-packed event. Senior Rich Klauber (Thomaston, Conn.) and freshman Brendan Copley (Colchester, Vt.) gave Quinnipiac their first All-Conference honorees since the 2009 season when Klauber was joined by two other Bobcats in an event where they finished the runners-up. The Bobcats (79 points) nearly came away with the title as they finished a mere seven points behind first-place Central Connecticut State (72 points) who claims their fourth consecutive NEC Championship.
